[NAS] Synology DS916+ 使用心得

之前一直掙扎要不要買 NAS



跟要買哪個牌子的 NAS









因為做 seo-rank.tw



為了要存 Google/Yahoo 的庫存頁面



需要大量的硬碟空間



之前用 Amazon S3 存



量實在是太大



雖然用了 Glacier 的格式 (比較省錢)



但因為存了以後 還會需要其他分析



所以還是有機會要解凍跟下載



S3 access 的頻寬費用也是一筆不小的費用



所以轉向思考 是否可以用 NAS 來做為解決方案





東西要放雲端還是要放 Local 一直是個爭議



長久來說 放雲端的成本一定比較低 而且安全



但也許是經營成本的關係吧



目前還撐不起這樣的規模成本



所以最後還是決定使用 NAS



因為算起來 我的儲存量



一個月 就可以買一棵硬碟



就算硬碟在怎麼爛 也不致於一個月壞一顆

(但後來一個月內還是是瞬間壞了兩顆 底下會說明)



短時間內自己架應該還是比較省



就當做是離線存放 事後在寫 script 去做這些檔案的分析





台灣比較有名的 NAS 廠商就兩家



Synology 跟 QNAP



兩家我都有朋友在服務



後來還是選 Synology



沒什麼特別的考量 只是純粹比外觀而已XD



規格上我覺得一樣的價格 規格都差不多



我知道我最少要有四顆硬碟 (要做 RAID5)



CPU不要太爛 (這點是QNAP的朋友建議的)



然後 RAM 要夠多



所以最後選了 DS916+



價格大概一萬五左右



然後還要買四顆硬碟



最近費用/容量比 我覺得比較划算的大概是 4TB 左右的硬碟



一棵的單價大概四千多



四顆也要快兩萬



連同機器就三萬多



是一比不小的開銷



但長期來說還是划算的 (總比每個月 s3 都要繳100USD好)



所以就衝了





安裝很簡單



硬碟全部插下去 電源/網路線插好



電源打開



有專屬的搜尋程式 不用管機器抓到啥IP



從開始有NAS到現在已經有一段時間



各方面很成熟了 比以前好用太多了





操作邏輯上比較爛的是



還要對硬碟開 "資料夾"



設定好各個資料夾的權限



才能存取



不過這還是小事 就當學新東西





大概又花了一兩個禮拜



把之前放s3的檔案全部下載下來



另外寫程式重新 zip 了檔案



還要寫新的 cron 修改一些備份流程



檔案數量太多了 幾千萬個有吧



都弄玩以後大概吃了 1/3 的容量



四顆硬碟做 RAID5 以後大概有 10TB



所以資料大概用了 3TB 有吧





目前運作了兩個月



都還算OK



唯一比較糟糕的是



我買的四顆 WD 藍標硬碟



不到兩個月就掛掉了兩顆



還好不是同時掛掉



不然可能連修復都補不回來





後來才有朋友跟我說要買紅標



比較適合 NAS 運作 (官方也是這樣講)



但四顆紅標又是兩萬多



暫時先丟著了= =



等資金比較充裕再來替換





RAID 修補也滿容易的



(因為補了兩次已經得心應手了= =)



如果硬碟有問題



機器會一直叫



我是先把機器關掉



然後再拔硬碟



直接抽掉也是可以啦



但我怕資料會有問題



把有問題的硬碟抽掉



然後插入新的硬碟



點 儲存空間管理 的 "修復"



機器就會自己開始補資料



修補很花時間



我補一顆4T的硬碟花了11個小時



期間還是可以資料存取



但如果再掛一顆 就掰掰了



"如果有錢" 的話



Synology 還提供了外接備援的硬碟陣列

(就是一台機器可以裝5顆硬碟)



如果串著的話



硬碟壞了的話 機器會自己找備用的硬碟修補資料



然後掛上去 RAID



不過有錢買 "沒在用的" 硬碟



還讓他 "上線" 備援



這財力真的是太強大了



暫時應該沒辦法做這種事情XD



就以後再說了





Synology 的 NAS 上也可以裝很多常用/厲害的 Package



它都幫你包好了



你只要點一點就可以安裝好



有些比較奇怪的東西可能就得透過 opkg 去裝



然後跟我很久以前使用 NAS 的習慣不一樣的地方是



以前 NAS 不能當 IP 分享器



現在什麼事情都可以做了

(還可以PPPOE)



甚至還可以 NAT 後面遠端登入



NAS 比起七八年前剛用的時候真的進步太多了



只是硬碟還是很貴就是了 (因為一次要買四顆)





還有一個疑慮就是資料轉移



像我弄了這樣一組



花了三萬



如果過了一陣子



我想換硬碟



要怎麼擴充呢?



比較簡單的(有錢的) 作法



就是連機器跟硬碟



再買一組新的



例如過了兩年 可能硬碟一顆變成 10TB



我就買新的 NAS 跟四顆硬碟



官方是有軟體可以整台 NAS 資料轉移



我想這是最簡單的方法





另外一個我自己想像的方法



就是買四顆新的硬碟



一次換一顆 (前提是你有 RAID)



這樣弄應該要滿久的



比直接弄另一台新的然後copy資料要花更多時間



不過預算不夠似乎只能這樣一顆一顆硬碟升級



(沒補滿/完 多出來的硬碟空間還不能用)





反正硬碟保固也是3年



三年後換一組硬碟也是很正常的事情



至於機器 我想三年的時間



硬體應該也會進步很多



就不要想太多了
