讓我想起了年前 前老闆介紹的一位客戶

他們要租主機

(真的很不好意思又提到他們 但是他們的案例真的是太經典了

所以很多文章都可以拿他們當案例)

他們在網頁上賣東西 有購物車系統

但是是用 wordpress 架的



因為是 wordpress 架的 所以非常吃資源

又因為他們租了 zoo 的主機

zoo 有用 cloudlinux 以避免使用者 CPU/RAM 吃太兇

所以這位客戶的頁面

開10次 可能有8次是空白頁面

他們很困擾

所以來找我租主機 看能不能給比較寬鬆的資源限制



我是沒裝 cloudlinux

但是 wordpress 我也不是沒用過

不要說 wordpress 啦

連一般簡單的產品上架 有問題的工程師 都可以吃 CPU 吃到滿

更何況是可以亂掛外掛的 wordpress

所以我當然是不給他們租



但是客戶很希望我給一個 "可行" 的方案

而不是只是打槍他



所以我建議他 要不自己租 vps

要不改網站改寫 客製化



但是他們就寧願用 wordpress

原因是 "wordpress 的外掛很多 多采多姿"



是啊

這就是上面那篇文章給外行人的印象

文章中提出了六個比較點



1. 開發日期(開發早晚)

開發早的 你可以說這系統很成熟 換句話說 就是這個系統很老舊

開發晚的 你可以說這系統很不成熟 換句話說 就是這系統很新潮(新技術)

所以這種比較一點都沒有意義



2. 插件與模組數量

參考上述的例子

就可以解釋 這是給貪小便宜的外行人的參考依據

使用者何以想選擇模組數量多的系統?

並不是因為多采多姿的功能

而是貪小便宜

為什麼這樣說呢?



一般小型業者

哪需要多少功能 (參觀人數又少)

但是就是因為 "這個功能不錯" "那個功能很有趣"

所以就掛了一堆模組 然後系統就變超慢



換個立場考慮架設網站這件事情

如果這些功能 "都要錢" (不用多 就一個功能兩三千就好了)

你想想看 老闆會不會斟酌拔掉那些 "很炫但無用" 的功能?

就是因為不用錢啊

貪小便宜 故得證





3. 各大品牌愛用哪一款？

這算什麼比較

這不就是其他比較的綜合結論嘛?



4. SEO 引擎誰最強

老實說這也沒任何意義

SEO很好(不用錢) 但不是做了SEO就會有流量

很多老闆也是被 SEO業者洗腦

甚至做了一些 "第一名 但沒有流量的字"

老闆自high "我的字在第一名耶" 但是訂單沒有增加啊

某視覺設計師在fb上自稱把客人的關鍵字輕鬆做上第一名

(他用的架站系統是某直銷商的開店系統 一套要八萬十萬的)

結果一看 第一名的字 是品牌名 = ="

我請他們改系統

他們不要 寧願花大錢去租 amazon 的 vps

我覺得他們也沒有租到多好的機器

他們租的規格跑起來也沒快多少

就寧願一年花個一兩萬丟到水裡

也不願意把預算拿去寫套客製化的



6. 響應式設計樣板數量

這對貪小便宜的業者超重要

"因為有很多免費樣板可以抓啊"

這就是台灣設計業價格/水準崩壞的原因吧



7. 市場佔比

這更不重要

別人用什麼 不代表你就適合用什麼

參考市佔率只是一種自慰心態

讓自己的系統比較不容易更早變成孤兒而已

你都不付錢了 還奢望人家維護多久?



8. Google搜尋趨勢怎麼說？

這跟市佔比類似 但是又不完全是

比較像是熱門程度

一般人的想法是 趨勢下降的 盡量不要用

但是事實上

就算是設計再好的網站

兩三年也需要改版一次 (可能是大改/甚至是重做)



所以要求 open source 一輩子不死

非常不合理





結論

這類的購物車系統

都是玩票性質的

是給那種 剛開始經營 連會不會賺錢都不知道的初心者用的

如果真的開始賺錢

真的應該撥點預算建立像樣的客製化網站



想想看 如果你買的明明是滿街跑的 Tiida

又不希望跟別人長得一樣

然後還要不花錢

會不會想太多了一點?
